Basic Care for the Elderly
Welcome to Chicago Foundation Uganda, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the elderly people of 80 years and above in Uganda. We understand that the elderly are some of the most vulnerable members of society, and many of them face significant challenges in accessing basic needs such as food, shelter, and healthcare. At Chicago Foundation Uganda, we believe that every elderly person deserves to live with dignity and respect, and we are committed to providing support to those in need. Our organization works with local communities to identify elderly people who require assistance and provide them with the basic needs they require to live a decent life.We provide a range of services to support the elderly, including:
Food assistance: We provide nutritious meals to elderly people who cannot afford to buy food or prepare it for themselves.
Shelter assistance: We provide housing support to elderly people who are homeless or living in substandard conditions.
Healthcare assistance: We provide medical care to elderly people who cannot afford to pay for it, including medication, checkups, and hospitalization.
Financial assistance: We provide financial support to elderly people who are struggling to make ends meet, including payment of bills, rent, and other basic needs.
At Chicago Foundation Uganda, we understand that our elderly beneficiaries have unique needs and challenges, and we work closely with them and their families to ensure that they receive the support they require. We also provide counseling and social support to help them cope with loneliness, isolation, and other emotional challenges they may face.
We believe that by providing support to the elderly, we are not only improving their lives but also contributing to the development of the community as a whole. We have seen firsthand how our support has helped to improve the health and well-being of the elderly, and we are committed to continuing this important work.
If you are an elderly person in Uganda who requires assistance, or if you know someone who does, please get in touch with us. We are here to support you and ensure that you live with dignity and respect in your later years.
